In honor of Grandparent's Day coming up, September 11, I'm so VERY excited to announce the Aren't Grandparent's Grand Giveaway! This project is something I have been daydreaming about for the last few years. It's something very close to my heart. I have the fondest affection and memories of my grandparents. They are a huge reason I am who I am today. I find myself at my parent's house rummaging in drawers and boxes, searching for photographsof my grandpa and grandma, trying my best to go back in time, back to them. I wish I had a single snapshot from each moment we spent together. The pictures that I do have help me hold them close as my memory fades with time.

So many people have told me they wish they would have taken the time to take more pictures of and with their grandparents before they passed away, which I also feel strongly about. Through the beauty of photography, we can capture those that are still with us. This giveaway is about a special experience to spend some fun time with your grandparent(s) and to create lasting, tangible moments. I want to incorporate as many details of the relationship and connection as possible. I want to make pictures of whatever you enjoy doing with your grandparents. Some examples may be playing cards, fishing, having coffee, hanging out at a favorite spot you always meet at, going to Waffle House, cooking together, gardening etc. I will basically be there documenting your good times together. These photos will be great to have, treasure, and share with your loved ones in years to come!

Today is such a special day and I'm so excited to honor this beautiful mama friend of mine with her family photos! I am in love with these, I hope you treasure them for many, many years. I have been blessed to capture The Foster family over the last few years, and it is always a delight. After being around this sweet family I feel so happy and joyful. LaPrincess and I met when we worked together for a mutual friend. She was always so sweet to me and we became friends fast. She is such a genuine girl with an amazing heart and I love being around her. Trey and LaPrincess, I'm so thankful for you two and I love seeing the love you have for each other and others. Happy Mother's Day to this incredible, strong, and gorgeous inside and out mama! Esteé and Peace are so very dear to my heart. It is just incredible how God gives you exactly the people who you need at the perfect time. Esteé and I met at church and I've felt like I have this new amazing best friend ever since. These two beautiful girls have breathed such light into my life, they are truly like long lost family. The feeling of being at home with a friend is so rare and special, and it is something I treasure. As you will see, these two are naturals in front of the camera. Their free and happy spirits combined with the lush green setting, horse stables, and wildflowers made for some of my all time favorite photographs. Elizabeth & Lanier in the Leaves | Georgia Photographer

This brother and sister duo were such a delight to photograph. I'm drawn to joy and happiness, and this shoot brought me both. I love that Elizabeth and Lanier were playful and ready to have fun. The tall trees, light, and sea of leaves made the perfect setting to make these pictures. One of the many reasons I love spending time with kids is because you get an excuse to act like a kid again. Life just isn't as good if you can't play in the leaves. I love my job. Enjoy these!
