The Oh So Joyful Knight Family | Frost Photography | Georgia Photographer

Happy most wonderful time of the year! My family and I are so very excited it's Christmas time! It's such a joyous time to enjoy and cherish our family and friends and spend time celebrating the birth of Jesus. This time of year is also one of my favorites because I get to make pictures of some wonderful families. I love experiencing and witnessing the love between each family as they come together to create these lasting memories.

When Charity asked me to take her family's pictures I was so honored and very excited. But I still had no idea it would turn out to be one of my all time favorite sessions! The Knight's are neighbors and friends and we also happen to go to the same church and small group. We've so been blessed to get to know them over the last few months and be oh so inspired by their marriage, family, and walk with the Lord, as well as thankful to be able to fellowship with them.

As always I strive to find and capture the light of my subjects. The Knight family made my job so effortless to showcase their light story because their love for each other runs deep. The affection, kindness, patience, and love for each other is a delight to witness- this family is a true team, and it is a beautiful thing.

Every time I finish a session like this one, my thoughts go straight to God. He truly is working all things for good. The way certain people and experiences come into my life, truly touch my heart, change me for the better, bring thankfulness to my heart, offer me such a hopeful and happy perspective reminding me that so much good is taking place- amongst all the dark, grumpy, disarray of the world...there is such a remarkable light to be found.

To Charity and Philip, my hope is that you will cherish these for a long time. That you will revisit them down the road and be reminded of all that God has created in your family. Such love, such light.

The 2nd Annual Summer Enrichment Camp

I had the most amazing opportunity to work with nineteen children for a week. The children who were selected for this camp are from foster homes, broken families, and other adverse situations.   Each one of these kids startled something inside me.  I love being struck- it's one of the most imporatant things in life,  to be struck by another human being.  It's imporant to me to get out of my own small world, my own relationships, jobs, life.  I'm so thankful for this experience that poured new light into my life. These children go through struggle, conflict, not the rosiest of experiences,  BUT it's like their sweet spirits, smiles, and inner joy  are trying to put the pieces back together.  The mission of the Summer Enrichment Camp is to provide a positive and enriched environment and fulfilling experiences for at risk youth in the Brunswick, Georgia area.  Thank you to everyone who made this camp possible by donating...

Family Fun before the Big Wedding!

I had the privilege to photograph this wonderful family a few days before a beautiful wedding took place in Dahlonega, Georgia. There was a mixture of youngster grandkids, parents, grandparentes, and family members who travelled as far as Italy, who were all excited to celebrate the marriage of Aynsley Simpson and Tate Girardeau. Enjoy the pictures!  It never fails, my personal favorites are always the ones with grandkids and grandparents My husband was in the wedding, so I thought it would be fun to get a few snaps at the rehearsal while they were busy practicing. The wedding took place at the Monteluce vineyards. I was blown away at the beautiful setting! They made the perfect choice to say their vows in such a gorgeous setting and have their guests stay in such a great location. We took advantage of being in the mountains and hiked to the Amicalola Falls, tasted the delicious local wine, and soaked in the beautiful mountain views.  The bride and her fathe...

A boy and his dog | Frost Photography

When a potential client approaches me in person to talk to be about making pictures of their children, they inevitably want to know about Frost Photography. Some times they have seen my work, some times they have not. The images above convey what I aim to capture. In this case, the shoot was technically over, I was gathering my gear, and I looked up to little Louis playing with his toy airplane with their dog watching nearby. There was nothing that was going to stop me from picking up my camera again. Moments like this is what I live for as a photographer. I often describe my style and perspective as unposed, real, and timeless. Those are my three attributes I strive for in my work. Ten years from now, I don't want my work to feel dated because I followed a trend. Props and staged settings are extremely prevalent in this day of photography. I'm not knocking those styles because many of them are done really well and turn out great. I just am not that photographer....
